Zenith 507 - Tabac stick - PAL Injectomatic - PAL vintage blade #1 - Alum - Tabac A/S - Aloe Vera Gel

Tabac Tuesday is the start of my stick fest which I'm starting with a newly acquired British PAL Injectomatic deluxe.

Tuesday evening

MdC Original (sample)
RazoRock BC Silvertip synth 24mm
Face lather
Gillette New (ex Red and Black set, 1934)
Polsilver SI (1)
Thayer's Lavender and Aloe Vera
Proraso M&E after shave

My third use (I think) of the MdC. Using a slightly wetter brush when lathering produced a much better residual slickness.

I'm amazed at the scent of this stuff. It sits in a wee Omega bowl for storage and I could smell it wafting from inside the drawer of my bedside cabinet as I snoozed the other night!

So yes, good stuff. The New/Polsilver combo worked well; and my face feels fresh and smooth - aided and abetted by the Proraso.

Tuesday 14th January

Soap - Tabac
Brush - Shavemac 26mm Synthetic
Razor - Timeless SS 0.68 Scalloped
Blade - Voskhod (1)
Post - Tabac Aftershave

Timeless / Voskhod pairing was as smooth as can be - literally close to zero blade feel.
I think I could use Tabac soap full time. It always delivers during and post shave
I'm liking the matching aftershave a lot too

Date:- 15 January 2020

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Brush:- WCS Two-Tone Tall (Blue & White) Extra Dense Synth. 26/56mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Barrister & Mann ~ Nordost
Razor/Blade:- Muhle R41 with iKon Bulldog / Astra Superior Platinum #1
Post/After-shave: T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20) & Tea Tree Antiseptic (10)
Tipple:- Johnnie Walker Double Black

OMG! I LOVE my Muhle R41 attached to an iKon Bulldog handle which I haven't been using it for a very long time, almost a whole year (a real shame), the whole shave was truly magnificent giving my face feels a super smooth and a very close shave as a

without any nicks or cuts or irritation and razor burn.

The B&M Nordost doesn't smell smoky or smoked enough in the background, because, I get more orange smell throughout my whole shave which isn't very strong at all. A real shame for the B&M Nordost shaving soap with not enough smoky smell in the background to blend into the orange scent with my favourite scotch whisky throughout the shave is Johnnie Walker Double.

Johnnie Walker Double is a smoky whisky with a hint of orange, clove, caramel, spicy and vanilla, a good combination together with B&M Nordost and a very enjoyable and a magnificent shave with the Muhle R41.

As for the B&M Nordost needs to improved a bit further in the smoky orange background scent without the overpowering burning smell of charcoal wood-like similar to Stirling Texas on Fire which is pretty strong.

Razorock 400 Brush - TOBS Cedarwood Shaving Cream - TNNSER 3D - Pitralon Classic AS

Continuing my TOBS Binge. All of my shaves this week have been excellent. I know TOBS is a good performer......but perhaps I should consider bowl lathering more often as the shaves have been consistently good.

3 Passes for a face feeler :)

Vitos Super Red

Schick Proline [ 3 ]
Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion

Tried another standing Shave today. I may well have rushed it because I felt a tad unstable on my broken leg [ in a boot ]. Also II am not wholly sure whether the blade is aligned properly, I personally think the blade retaining lugs are too shallow as the blade easily slips off during loading. This feature means that if you slacken off the handle of the Razor to rinse it after a Shave the blade again slips off the lugs. Next standing shave will be with a tried and tested favourite.

Not a travel shave, just using my travel brush for fun. It works so well. Smooth, fuss free shave with the MÜHLE R101 and P&B Iceni, which has a very pleasant scent. So does the Bart's Amber and Moroccan Jasmine, a favourite of mine.

WILLIAMS WEDNESDAY

Pre: Pears Transparent Original
Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Culmak Plus
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Razor: Kampfe Star Lather catcher
Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (2)
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Witch Hazel
Balm: Bart's Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: Williams Aqua Velva

3. Wed.JPG

An involving 3 pass shave on Williams Wednesday, i was happy with my lather even though it was more "wet" than i usually like, it still held up well for the shave.
I am still very careful when using my Lather Catchers as i am still in familiarisation mode. I do know i have shaved today and i did get some indication from the alum stone, the repair work started with a splash of Witch hazel infused with Bay Rum essential oil.
The Post shave consisted of a face massage with the Barts Balm Lotion and i let it sink in. I then rubbed in a good dollop of the Barts matching AS balm and everything started to feel good again.
The 1st time use of the Williams Aqua Velva finished off the shave and I was not sure what to expect, i like it, the overall post shave feel is good, i am not sure of the scent and i am getting a light menthol maybe.
So a DFS finish and a good involving shave.
Enjoy your day All.
