A very nice shave today.
The Vectis soap is a lovely scent, the little Yaqi is just the right size for the "travel" tins of @BrianH wonderful soap and i completed a very nice face lather with the brush holding enough soap for 3 passes.
I completed my 2 pass shave routine for a DFS+ result, i did pick up a small graze under the chin although it has not bled.
A complimentary post shave routine from the Barts and OSP leaving me feeling and smelling good.
Stay Safe and enjoy your day All.
Thanks for comments. The Sagrada is a great brush for the price. @Boycie83 should be on commission from Yaqi - we all seem to have one!

Third of my new TGS soaps today and second shave with the Supply SE...

Software:
Glyce Lime pre-shave wash | TGS Pino Alpestre shaving soap | Proraso Menthol & Eucalyptus splash

Hardware: Yaqi Dandelion 24mm Cashmere | Supply SE V2 Custom Injector (Plate 3) | Personna blade

DSC_1164.jpg

Pino Alpestre is a very nice fresh-scented shaving soap from TGS. Again, it's not overpowering but it does have a subtle mountain pine forest sort of fragrance. The Dandelion lathered it well and held held plenty of soap for a face-lathered three-pass shave.

I was a little more confidant in my second outing with the Supply V2 and only used plate 3 - the most aggressive - for the whole shave. It's certainly my best experience with a SE to date. I put that down to paying attention to the advice: no pressure, let the head do the work, find your angle, small movements etc. In addition, I found that very frequent razor rinsing helps a lot.

I did need three passes though and not too sure of the Personna blade. If anyones got any suggestions for the best blade to use with the V2 I'd love to hear them!

Happy shaving and a good evening to all:)(y)

Day 10 of Signature September

Razor- Edwin Jagger Kelvin (DE89)
Blade- Gillette Silver Blue
Pre- Ach Brito Glyce
Brush- TOBS Super Badger travel brush
Soap- Signature Capra
Post- Alum block and Epsilon Blue

First of my travel shaves so excuse the photo. A quick 2 pass and the first use of this little 3 piece razor and I think its a bargain at the price. GSB continues to be the benchmark blade for me as well.

On the soap, performance as always was fantastic but even though its unscented, made with goats milk, I don't like the smell of it. I'm sure @BrianH would appreciate the honesty rather than say every one of his soaps smell amazing! This is the first one I'm not a fan of the smell off but as with all scents, you may be different. Perfrmance wise, it can't be faulted.

The TOBS travel brush just about holds enough for 2 passes. If I wanted a third I could maybe squeeze it out but not one for use at home.

Epsilon Blue wasn't bad although I'm undecided if I could get through a bottle of it.

Good night one and all.

“There is no such thing as failure only feedback” Thanks for your honesty, I respect that.
It has a deep earthy smell, as is the case of shaving soap, bar soap and liquid soaps made using raw goats milk to mix potassium and sodium hydroxide. The upside is goats milk soaps seem to be good for those with eczema, psoriasis and those with particular skin sensitivities. I'm going to do a few fragranced goats milk ones so will send samples gor you to test shave.
Regards Brian

Razor - Alu Karve - d plate
blade - Nacet (?5)
soap - PAA - CaD
brush - Semogue - 2015 HD badger
post - witch hazel
a/s - Aqua Velva
balm - none
scent - Tabac - edt.

All good - scent-wise - keeping it old school - the disparate elements - worked together well. Another single pass shave - this may be the way forward for me - experience allows me to adapt it to my beard growth - as said before - 95% result - with less than half the effort - fewer passes are better - lets face it - human skin didn't evolve to have surgically sharp steel dragged across it several times a week. It is a cultural choice we make. That - of course - set against justifying - to our partners - the amount of shaving porn we own.

Enjoy yours - I.

I have a tub of the Unscented Capra and I wasn't massively enthusiastic about the scent of the soap when I'd sniff the tub and when the lather was on my face it'd smell a bit earthy like I had a mud pack on my face. Then the razor and blade would slip/slide across my face with no irritation.
It really is a delightful soap.
It would be my fav SS product but the Danum splash has taken the honour, if I have any irritation from a rough blade or anything else it seems to please my face better than any other products I own.

This soap scent is one my top....so nice. Not citrusy but rather spicy pleasant. Love this scent...face lathering with the brush produces an excellent lather that's thick creamy and slick...
This slant razor paired with this blade shaves smoothly and comfortably. Not as efficient. 3+1 passes give a between bbs to dfs result. 2 unexpected weepers...
dang! Post & aftershave was terrific. Rating 9/10

Yip, no denying the performance is still fantastic, that was never in doubt. Scent wise Vectis is my favourite which would tie in with my favour for citrus/fresh scents. Just personal preference.

Officina Artigiana A/S Lotion

Have just completed a 5th consecutive Shave with The Hiram, all have been smooth and comfortable. As the week has progressed the quality of finish attained has improved, and the Razor is a delight to use and its apparent weight is not at all noticeable during the Shave.
There is some danger of it becoming my favourite AC/SE ,will now have to see how it fares with a Feather Pro on board.
