SOTD - on paper

Just testing the ink, its a really nice, deep black. On the videos they say it has a pinkish sheen to it, which you can really see within the bottle. In certain light glimmers can be seen of it. Good stuff!

My Jinhao 599 arrived yesterday, just had a quick scrawl to see how it writes. Having being the second pen to my colection, I dont have much experience but I thought it was great, smooth and consistant ink flow.
My first use with Diamine Bilberry too, looks blue to me but it is lovely.

The Jinhao X750 arrived today. I'm extremely impressed by it. The pen has a lovely weight to it, feels great in the hand.
Thats my wifes handy work by the way, I got the pen for her, she loves it.

Great shots and samples :)
I think your 599 writes a bit finer than mine - it looks really neat.
The 750 is wetter though being a medium #6 nib. I still haven't swapped mine out for the Andersen Fine #6 I bought but will this weekend.

Great to hear that you've converted your wife as well ;)
Now you have inexpensive - yet fantastic looking - gift options for her ;-)

Thanks mate, it is a lovely writer which writes quite fine, a lot finer than my Safari.
The X750 was lovely too, so much so I just ordered a black one for myself, for under 2 quid, it would be rude not too.
Yes, converted the wife, fail with converting her to traditional shaving but got her with pens, now I can buy more and 'share' it ;)

Lol you might be able to get away with 3-4 quid for birthdays, christmas and anniversaries for some time ;)

I also succumbed to a shaeffer purchase (childhood fav), I've been eyeballing the taranis set for a while and pushed the button today.
At least @Darkbulb had nothing to do with this for a change :)

But just imagine how good that Shaeffer would look stuck into the pen-loop on one of the new handmade Popov leather covers..... :D
