Welcome Back. I too had come back a few weeks ago after a 8-10 year absence. It's been quite interesting to see a change in what people are using now. With new DE razors coming on the market plus synthetic brushes.
Nice. I seldom change my setup using the merkur predominantly and either GSB or Feather blades with more claret with the latter.

Must get a brush that doesn't shed hair (finest knot) but given covid-19, maybe a Chinese Badger is 'best' avoided for the time being?!

Must take a look at what's good these days with brushes and DE razors/blades

Greetings,

A relaxing sunday morning shave.

A comfortable non-aggressive razor & blade duo...It's been a while since my much loved vintage gillette slim twist made an appearance in one of my SOTD set up's, each time i've shaved with this vintage lady it's given me a amazingly comfortably smooth shave. It always amazes me that a 50 years + de razor can still perform with such smoothness.

Another enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of L'0REAL ~ Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling devine.;)

Have a safe enjoyable Sunday Ladies & Gentlemen.

I had a superb Shave with an AC/SE Razor yesterday, in many ways rather clinical as I know that with that particular Razor I am going to have a trouble free/ top notch Shave, with the minimum effort on my part.Today I was using The TNNSER-3D fitted with a Gem blade, which requires a lot of care and attention to ensure having a good Shave. so it is quite satisfying when you actually achieve that nice close finish. I suspect that is why many SE users prefer Vintage to the modern AC/SE type.
