I've been a Diamine fan for ages. I seem to have acquired over 20 bottles. I really rate them, they're well behaved and consistent. Those labels look a bit more interesting than the old ones - my bottles are all really boring looking!
I, too, love the look of oxblood. I've just ordered some majestic purple which was going cheap on eBay to try in a flexy 'frankenpen' - utilising a Jinhao X750 and Zebra G nib. The nib and pen arrived today, so I've fitted them together and taken them for a quick run out with Parker Quink - works decently well but think the water repellency of the Quink isn't helping matters! Will give 'er a clean tomorrow and try again with the ink when it arrives!
Took receipt of some Diamine Majestic Purple to try out in my Jinhao X750 + Zebra G nib 'Frankenpen'. Have had some railroading issues initially and the top of the nib is still hydrophobic despite multiple cleanings but it's eased out a bit. Slower writing + breaks at intervals seems to be working for ink-flow. Trying my hand at something entirely alien to me in the picture... Copperplate. As can be seen, much practice required! It's strange getting used to the scratchiness of the pen on this paper. Fun all the same!
