When I used to go out, I would know everyone that I saw. Now I go out alone if I go out at all...
You mentioned dance classes, I think that's a great idea, you will learn how to dance, something I can't do and get to meet new people and maybe get together for a drink afterwards. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do. Paul.

I go to the gym 3 times a week and the wife and I go to the pub every Friday. I’m a member of a fountain pen collectors group and we meet the second Saturday each month for breakfast. Other than that not much socializing unless you include grocery shopping, which I do. It’s mostly solitary things: gardening in the the summer, autumn and spring; shoveling snow in the winter. I used to fence once a week, but that has fallen off recently as the other veteran fencers seem to have dwindled away or died; it’s hard to socialize with teenagers when you’re 70.

I'm an member of two golf clubs, a member of a fairly large charitable organisation and their golf association, Leeds United season ticket holder, member of the Handlebar Moustache Club and am just about to take up scuba diving.

Stupid work really gets in the way!
