Closed Soap Pass Around - Award winning - Natural Ireland shaving soap

Guys, I'm really considering trying the Stout soap too. I am leaving for work on Saturday for a month, so I need to post the soaps tomorrow. Would it be an issue if I were to scoop some of the soap so I can use it next week?

The Natural soap does not agree with my skin. I find it strange because the ingredient list is the same as the seaweed soap.
It took less water and provided more glide, but less cushion.

Here's the first impression.

Lovely packaging, design, simple and elegant. Love the idea of 70g. I would love other soapmakers make soaps in smaller sizes also.

Opened the Seaweed first. Damn it was a strong scent. Smelled like a fishing boat. A port in the morning. Wasn't sure do I like it or not, but it sure was special and was the first soap that triggers a picture in the head or maybe even a memory.
The Stout was second in line. Similiar but a little bit milder as the Seaweed domination is suppressed a bit.
The Natural has the least strong scent and I smell lemon grass.
All three are fresh scents, smelling nature-like. I really liked their hardness.

I selected the Stout for the first shave.
Lathers in no time, no special requirements regarding water or anything. You can make a lather with minimum effort. During the lathering the scent changed. Quite a bit if you ask me. The sea smell goes to behind and suddenly it smells more fresh, more citrusy. Not really good at describing scents.
Anyway, the lather was really really good. I can't say it's like my regular tallow based but still it looks and feels alright.
The shave was done with my best razor and was really good. The soap gave slickness & protection, all that is needed.
Where it really struck me is the post shave. It was stunning. I was surprised actually as there is no tallow/lanolin whatever they say is important for post shave.
I can't wait for a shave with the other two.

Wonderful review Pimple8, I'm looking forward to the next :)
Personally I love the the post shave feel after these soaps.
Whilst the seaweed scent can be strong but it softens and changes it's scent as you work it.
Thanks for posting your views :)

Tried all three. I can only confirm my initial impressions. Not so pleseant scent from the tub, but later it changes to something different and appealing. They lather quick and easy. Solid protection and glide. Real good post shave, leaves the skind very very smooth.
I think my favorite out of three is Stout & Seaweed. I can't explain it but for me it smells better than a regular Seaweed.

And that's about that I have to say on these soaps.

Thanks for letting me in on this passaround. :)
