So... Shavette or DE?

So recently I was PIF'ed a shavette razor, I've tried a few times to shave with it but I just don't seem to get on with it. I really thought I would like it but I seem to prefer just reaching for a DE instead.
Is it something that will come in time? is it just because I haven't practiced enough? Or is it thst some guys faces are just not adaptable to a shavette?
I'm not sure! I really want to enjoy using a shavette so I could get a 'nice' cut throat later...
Or do I hang it up on the display so it's nice to look at and just keep rotating the DE's?
Hello. I am a 4th generation barber in my family business. My advice, if you would like, is to put away those useless shavette razors and buy a Feather Club Artist razor and pair it with the Shick Proline P30’s. I use these every day, 6 days a week and they are a “cut” above the rest!

What's the difference between Schick Prolinr P30's and Feather Professional blades? Ive never tried the Schick ones.
