Viz top tips
You probably all use this trick anyway but I thought I would post, if you find you have slippy fingers when holding a brush or razor rub your hands with an alum block. This makes everything feel grippy even with lather on it.

I find it occurs more when I am mixing lather in a bowl and the brush handle gets slippy

Good tip. Be careful if anyone's all pimptastic and has gold razors, though. Alum can stain them like a biaaatch.
I did not know that, thanks. I only have one Gold Razor, a New commom bar Open Comb but I will watch I keep that and the alum away from each other.
