Simpsons CH2 2-band with longer loft

As a little aside, I have been shaving with the Vulfix 404 badger boar mix the last couple of times and it really is very good. It is a bit scritchy, but the lather is excellent and the handle is as good as any top end brush. Fine recommendation from Antdad and Hando. Thank you.

:D Ah jest lurve mah 404!
Try bowl-lathering for a week or so before committing it to your face - I used a coarse-bottomed  plantpot holder.

Finally I can show you photos of the two chubby 2 2-bands. I am afraid they are really not great photos - sorry (any tips?). The knots are both about 28mm, the loft on the left is 60mm and on the right 55mm. I think the difference in overall size is really quite significant. You also see that the lower white band is more visible on the higher loft brush, but its clearly the same type of hair on both brushes. I must say that I really like the shape of the longer loft brush (the name stamp is nicer too). The shorter loft brush has a very slight friar tuck look about it. I do think I will keep the shorter loft version though .. unless you chaps want to persuade me otherwise! Will shave with one on Friday and let you know how I get on ..

PS the higher loft brush is about the same size as a standard CH3

Cripes...I didn't expect them to look like two different brushes, I take it back they will behave differently. The knot on the longer loft seems much tidier, mine is 53mm and I'm very happy with it. If you are mostly a soap and face latherer keep the short one, but I think you are right the longer lofted one looks more like a CH3.

These puppies are dense eh.

The brush on the left could easily pass for a #3 super. Is it normal for the 2 bands to have a "rounder" end to them on the # 2??

I agree with AD on the shorter brush uses.
