I enjoyed another great shave with the soaps today.

I tried the Danum and it struck me as having something of an earthy smell (which I suspect is due to the Patchouli essential oil it contains). The performance, in line with the Leodis and Capra, was excellent and these soaps really are a steal at the price point they sell for.

The soap worked well with the Bart’s Balms Beard Oil (sent to me to try as a pre-shave oil by @BartsBalm ) which, as always, gave a nice mild menthol feel to the shave.

Overall, I am really enjoying these soaps and, despite my saying that I wouldn’t be buying any new soaps this year, can feel a purchase looming in the not too distant future.

Glad you’re liking them

Just a quick update guys - the soaps are still with me. Unfortunately, ongoing tendonitis in my hands has stopped me shaving for over a week, hence I've not had chance to use any more of the soaps as yet. I'm hoping to be able to get a shave in at the weekend and will report back accordingly.

I hope your hand is recovered. Did you get a chance to try these? What did you think?

Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to shave since my last post as my hand ended up deteriorating.

The good news is, though, that I’m planning to have a shave tomorrow and will definitely be using another of the signature soaps accordingly.

Sorry to hear of your Tendonitis Andy, I hope you feel much better really soon, all the best Steve
Hope the tendonitis Clears for you soon Andy.
Hope you're able to make a recovery.
Thanks guys.

My hand has recovered sufficiently enough that I was able to get a shave in on Friday night and another one today.

I used Hibernia and Caledonia respectively and must admit that I really like this soap base.

I tend to shave with an uberlather and some soap bases work better at this than others. These soaps have given perfect results on each occasion and are definitely up there with the best on the market.

Maybe you could pass it on and put your name down again when your hand is better ?
I thought about doing that a couple of weeks ago Bob, however as there is no-one else on the list after me, I thought it would be best to hold on to them until I could complete using them and then return them back to either Paul or Brian.

I’ll write my final review up over the next couple of days and then work out who I need to return them to.
