Shower refurb advice

We are getting the en-suite shower re done and are trying to decide whether to go with shower panels in place of tiles. We've heard mixed opinions on the longevity of the panels and problems with the corner seals but then we have also had problems with badly done tiling so I thought I'd see if you gents had anything to share one way or the other.
Thanks in anticipation

We went the way of panels a couple of years back and not a single issue to complain about. Certainly the sealing has never caused any problems and as watertight as one could wish.

Easy to clean, look nice and bright and no discolouring you get with tiles and especially with the foul black mould. Very happy with the overall results

I did panels 5 years ago, i clean them with a shower scrunchy thing and shower cleaner, rainX shower treat it once a month, to stop limescale/watermarks, and it looks as good today as when i installed it. I also did the ceiling in high gloss white.

Got our en-suite re-tiled, new tray etc recently. I think the quality of fitting is important. Ref grout discolouring, we use a wiper type device after showering, the ones for cleaning windows. That, and a shower spray couple of times a week. Good results.

The quality of the grout makes a difference, cheap stuff prone to discolour.
