Short comb NEW - anybody have one?

I'd like to borrow it.

My long toothed NEW is a favourite, just wondered what a short comb is like?

I'm thinking about getting a NEW from Cooncatbob with his delicious handles but which one? Anybody order a razor from him?

I dont know anyone either.

I have had an eye on one of his Mastiffs for a while & never really gave the wooden handles a second glance. Recently I have been oggleing the bulbous wooden handled ones quite alot. They not only look good but they look like they would feel good/ comfortable in the hand while :shave

Well that was quick, just bought a short comb NEW off Erwin.

Could you post a comparison pic of the two? I for one wasn't aware that there were different length combs!

Have a closer look at cooncatbob's website, many of the paired custom razors with NEW heads are in fact long and short comb, easily missed but that was the motivation behind the original post or have a careful look at Mr Razors page, more long than short comb.

I recently had Dave at safety razors uk do a replate on a long tooth - it was tarnishing badly but was such a great shave for me i didnt want to lose it. (had it done in silver and its great) . Never realised there was a short tooth version too tony. Will you let us know how they compare for you

I'd like to see that Andy. I have a silver one myself.

From what I've read there doesn't seem to be much in it, except comfort. According to some the English NEW's are more aggressive than the American version's (who'd have thought it).
