Shaving iritation

Hi all IV been wet shaving for around 4 years now and IV always hated shaving, my skin is very sensitive and I have all the top products - colonial general, wolfman, charcoal goods, raw shaving. All the best soaps and brushes , paladin, Simpsons, mozingo, declaration grooming. But I still get so much irritation, I always try to get a BBS shave and although I nearly get it I do get so much irritation and abit of blood not big cuts through. It's not down to my technique as I have watched video after video on YouTube and spent hours apon hours studying shaving so my technique is actually quite good I think but still no joy in getting a irritation free shave. Does anyone have any advice?

Stop chasing the BBS, except maybe for a special shave. Don’t go ATG, 2 passes (WTG+ XTG) should produce a good, socially acceptable finish. Don’t shave every day. Look at your soaps and pre shave stuff, is there a chance that one of those is causing the irritation, for instance some people have problems with sandalwood scented products, even top drawer ones. You might have to go through a process of elimination to discover if there’s an issue with one or more of your products

Do you use preshave? Try that. Look at your razor blades. For instance in the same razor when I use Rapira PL I get ton of irritation. Same razor with Astra is smooth and close. Try an unscented soap without lanolin. You might wanna try bowl lathering. When I use badger sometimes for face lathering I get a brush burn.

get an aggressive razor. You would require less passes. Bear in mind, there will be some spots where you have to let it go as no matter how many passes you won't be able to clean them 100%
