Shavent

This is a nice looking razor. I've opted for the leaf though as it's available in the UK for ~£20 less.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it once received @JohnnyO
Ordered 17/09/2020 Boycie, so hopefully not too long now. I get on well with the Razolution twin DE, so I was keen to see how this does and will be trying to see if I can get it to operate with less than the three half blades ... just ‘cause I can.

Sorry, none of the above.

Cheers. :)

When you have it, could you also check whether it can be safely loaded and operated even when using a single blade without the extra blade separators?
I find that even when I buy razors that can be loaded with several blades, I generally end up using only a single blade, even in the Razolution twin DE razors (used with the blade separator and the blade being between the separator and the top cap).
Thanks. :)

Shavent due next week, Broman out of stock will order when available, R48 and leaf need to save up for them
Good stuff. :)
If you were to get the R48 or the R50, you might the technique used is pretty crucial to get good efficiency with good comfort, IMO. You'd want to put the back of the head to the face first. Then it's really smooth and efficient.

Well, (that's) the Shavent arrived this am (05/10/2020) having been ordered on 17/09/2020. It comes loaded with three half Derby blades together with another three in reserve.
The handle slots onto the stand for storage and initial impressions are of a typically well engineered German piece of kit, although the appearance does owe more to Italian flair than Teutonic design to my eye.
I'll give it the first run out tomorrow and after a few trials I intend to see how it goes with two and one blades as an experiment.

I have had mine about a month, use it with all three blades, takes a bit of trial and error to get the technique right but all in all a very enjoyable shave, gives a very smooth finish. I know it's not your traditional DE razor of which I have several but one the best shaves I have ever had, would recommend if you want something different.
