Hi guys I just brought a shavemac brush witch arrived today, I have tried to contact the company many times but they never replied. So in the end I just bought the brush, the reason I wanted to contact them was to find out how I could get the unique knot as I heard this is the best quality. As I had no reply I brought the brush and in the comments I wrote I wanted the unique knot. I was hoping in the paper work sent with the brush it would say something about the unique knot but unfortunately it just says 2 band silver tip loft 53mm. I'm now wondering if I have the unique knot there seems to be no way of finding out :( can anyone help?

I'm not sure the Unique knot is the best, its density and price is between the Silvertip and the D01 in I remember correctly. I own two brushes with unique knots and I like them.

It's not the first time I hear people complain about not getting replies to their emails, I'm not impressed with their customer service (going by what people say about shavemac's customer service on forums)

Ok thanks so much, so how did you manage to get unique knots ? I'm not sure if mine is as there really is no way to find out. I completely agree IV been in the shaving hobbie 6 years and this is the worst customer service IV had, I even put a note for them to contact me before making the brush and still had no reply. Not sure who the owner is

That is odd, I have never had an issue with communication from Shavemac , they always reply to emails within a day or so.

I remember this issue when Shavemac were slow in responding and fixing a shedding brush. https://www.atgshaving.com/threads/...-how-does-bernd-repair-a-shedding-brush.5602/

There was another case mentioned here or ATG, I can't remember exactly.

And then there was a conversation I had by PM with another member that wasn't happy either, I can't remember exactly what the issue was but it got sorted out eventually.

I have 3 Shavemacs and I'm glad that I have no issues with my brushes.

Ok I see, unfortunately he never replies to me, so my question is how did you know you have the unique knot?

They are limited editions, I don't think you can buy them directly. Mine were ordered through the forum group buy.

Sometimes they come on BST for sale. I think the D01 is better but more expensive.

I have to agree Bernd has always responded quite promptly when I have contacted him. When I had a problem with a brush being a shredder and we had problems with getting the brush shipped back to him he sent me a brand new brush just out of the blue that he made just for me anyway so I am surprised that you didn't hear back from him.

Ok wow that's excellent, yes I still have had no reply I give up now, just going to keep the brush for now and hope it becomes softer with use
