Thursday

Gillette Sensor Excel
Simpson's Best Badger Special
TOBS Shaving shop Cream
D.R. Harris Pink a/s
Penhaligon's English Fern edt

Picked up the Sensor yesterday. Thought I'd give it a whirl. Gave me a nice shave.

Wednesday

Futur on 3
Super Iridium (3)
Arko stick
Alum
Witch hazel
English Fern EdT

Arko gives a fantastic shave. Up there with Irisch Moos as my favourite.

First payback today. Followed advice somewhere here to leave a lot less water on my brush and produced a much better lather. Using up some Traditional Shave Cream from Real Shaving Co. which I picked up from Tesco when I switched back to a DE Razor a few months ago. I'm really enjoying using a shaving bowl. Cannot figure out why. Cannot stand mixing anything in the kitchen, or anywhere else for that matter.

Thursday

Kent BK4
Tabac
Flair tip Rocket
Astra Keramik (1)

That's the last of the Keramiks - which seem to be in short supply now - in line with my "don't go mental to buy end-of-life blades" policy - they're pretty good, but I'll only buy more if they're not being hawked at stupid prices.

Friday

Gillette Sensor Excel
Simpson's Best Badger Special
Proraso (green tube)
Nivea Cool Kick asb

I never have a bad shave with Proraso. It works so well. Everytime I use it I think 'yep, I could use JUST this'. I think I may have to try the 'white' version so that I can use it in winter. The green stuff is a bit to cooling for those cold mornings!

Thursday

Omega boar
Twist / Knack
Dorco blade (1)

Palmolive
T-Zone aftershave balm

Something different, and a thoroughly lousy shave. I've sharper penknives than that blade, so if anyone fancies 9 Dorcos, just PM me: you're welcome to them. I'll post on the T-Zone stuff elsewhere. I think I like the Twist, so I'll put a decent blade in it and give it another go next shave ... strange long tapering handle though. At this point I have to renounce my status as a non-collector of razors: thanks to Ollie I now have one for each day of the week.

Friday

Kent soap
Men-U Pure Bristle quickly ditched for Edwin Jagger Best
Feather Portable
Super Iridium
Harvard A/S

Treated myself today, checked out a chemist in the nearest town and found Kent soap in the dark oak bowl for £12 and I thought 'bugger it, why not'. Am I right in thinking this is MWF in a change of clothes?

Initially tried it with the boar brush and got absolutely nowhere, got the badger out and BOOM lather explosion :)
