Sharing some love

Hi all.

All testers have now been chosen.

Just to confirm, I'm looking for long term tests, with reviews on this thread on a regular basis, with both constructive and positive feedback welcomed.

I've given you a lot of soap (250g or so) but please, no sharing with anyone else right now. You also have 1p0ml of aftershave.

I told some of you that I was going with a farenheit fragrance but in the end I chose one I call No. 8.

I'm really looking forward to hearing more about these soaps from the testers. OSP was wonderful soap for me and if this improves on it, I will be very very interested

I was very lucky to have been one of those kindly sent the sample of @James Riley soap and splash and last night gave me the opportunity to trial them both. I included a bit of a review in my SOTD

SOTD.: Saturday 1th February - Fryday 7th February 2020

Friday's Shave A very nice one too I am impressed by the EDP it was 5 Euros in Lidl. May try some of the others they have.

I will of course post further words as I will use the same soap over the next few days to try get a better assessment. Plus the pass round Fat Boy arrived this morning so I need something to use it with. Happy days
 
Well here is my honest opinion on the aftershave/splash.
Firstly, my wife liked it, so that was a good start, initially I thought there was a scent coming through stronger than the back ground scent so immediately I thought it was going to be maybe a little overpowering, after about a hour or so it (imo) it changed on my skin and everything just seemed to blend together to become a much nicer softer scent, again my wife preferred the scent after the hour mark.
This newly settled down scent stayed as it was for the rest of the evening, so the longetivity of it is very good, I wore it again today to see if it would be the same as yesterdays first run and it was exactly the same, a stronger scent that settles very nicely and lasts well all day and still very much with me now as I write, I feel as if I should know this scent, it has a familiarity for me but cannot put my finger on it.
I think it defo smells more high end and not a low end product, it could easily pass as a expensive splash, my 43yr old son likes it too which came as a surprise to me because we do not share much in common with scents and aftershaves, he really only buys middle priced stuff like boss, millions and new baby blue jeans, so he must recognize the quality too.
To summarize, it is a very good product with a very nice scent and a long on skin time, I will update this if anything changes, but I expect it to become a regular part of my rotation. Oh!...as I still have not used it after a shave, I will add that on when my next shave is done, that will be interesting to see how it performs on a newly shaved face.
