Seeking alternative

I have now the Stirling Satsuma Glacial, and i am a tiny bit disappointed, i expected (Stirling Style) te be hit on the head with a truckload of mandarins, and ended up with a the smell of the neighbours peeling one. The lovely smell is totally blown away by the awesome amount of Menthol. It shaves like a dream, it cools like the Arctic but not enough Satsuma's to satisfy me.

Controversially I'm not a fan of Stirling soaps.

Never used a menthol based soap before. Might try the latest release from Noble Otter, Orbit as it's meant to be a cold one. Just need the weather to warm up now. It is meant to be Summer right?

I guess it depends how you lather , I have some samples I am trying at the moment and I break off and put the soap in the bottom of a bowl and lather it there, that seems to work , would be hard to load the brush from the Sample I can see.

Well, i bought a Monarch and i am not disappointed! It must have been, like @Roy said, a problem with the sample. The real stuff shaves like a charm and smells heavenly ;-) Funny detail, where i find the smell terrific and strong, my wife says she only smells soap, nothing else
