Scent of The Day

Tried out some vintage Chanel Egoiste on the back of my hand earlier. It's nice, sweet and spicy with a tangential rose and tobacco to add some complexity but not so much for me. Might work nicely in the winter months but I can't see myself using it often.

Subsequently, I've chucked on another new arrival. A sample of Parfums de Marly Herod. This is another sweet number, with the tobacco playing the prominent role. It, too, features vanilla and cinnamon and gives a strongly 'designer' feel but is far more to my liking with the focus where it (to me) should be. On the notes which work rather than detracting with the notes which don't. Nice stuff. Will need a proper wearing of this soon.

Floris Jermyn Street sample.

I dont understand this scent. Floris call it unisex, to me its 100% masculine. Everyone online calls is a "classic citrus summer cologne", to me its a woody barbershop perfect for the colder months... What the heck is going on here?

Its a likable scent anyway just marred by poor longevity, I only got a couple of hours before it became a skin scent (and this is the EdP concentration.)

Prada Amber Intense. A bit of a deviation from my typical citrusy summer scent, but works well in the heat.
