Scarlet Blotchy skin after shaving..Need Guidance Please

If I have time to shave, I use about three razors on each shave.

I distinguish the razors into three families (soft, medium and aggressive)

- In the first pass I usually use a soft one;

* ONEBLADE HIBRID
* Gillette SUPERSPEED Blue Tip
* Schick KRONA
* LADY GILLETTE TTO
* SCHICK DIAL # 4
* GILLETTE ARISTOCRATA 1940
* GILLETTE TECH 1940, FAT

- In the second pass, a normal razor;

* Gillette FAT BOY
* ATT R
* KARVE D
* SCHICK DIAL # 6

- In the third pass, an aggressive razor;

* R41 or its clone
* PAA SLANT
* IKON SAVECRAFT TECH 103
* REX DIAL # 6
* MERGRES # 8
* MERKUR FUTUR CLONE # 8

Here is a typical shave;

Astros don't always come together in position to have a Wonderful Shave. Today yeah ...

Tonight's is better in sensations than the previous one and with more classic razors. Except for the ASYLUM RX, a nod to the Cobra CLASIC and mango copy of the Tradere. Not only does it shave well, it is beautiful.

And both Gillette, that with either one you can already have a magnificent shave. In this case with BIC # 1 sheets.

Shave four passes.

- The first with the AXYLUM RX Monofilo with Captain PRO-TOUCH blade

Wonderful first pass to clear the field at Gillette, it may not be necessary, but vice is vice.

- Second and third passes to half faces with the Gillette FAT BOY on dials 3 and 5, combining with the Gillette Slim Twist. Similar results.

Wonderful past with a previous application of a COVIRAN body lotion to olive oil. I always apply this lotion before each pass along with the ARCO Soap, with a Foam with enough air to facilitate the cleaning of the razors.

- The last pass was already by vice. Use only the FAT BOY to dial 9 to polish your face.

With vintage Gillette use BIC # 1 Sheets, with fantastic results.

Gillette Proshield Chill Chrome Razor

Gillette Proglide Sensitive Shaving Foam
I often get a very similar thing due to sensitive skin (I think I have some sort of condition). I've still not completely mastered it but generally cold water shaving in the evening helps. Also, fewer passes the better - with an efficient razor I can generally get away with 1 pass. Finally the soap is very important, I reacted something awful to TOBS Sandalwood and the post shave really helps too - witch hazel followed by a splash tends to be better for me than a balm.

I used TOBS for a while but then read the ingredients list. It contains Tetrasodium EDTA which can cause irritation to some folks.

I don't buy TOBS anymore. There are safer alternatives to Tetrasodium EDTA now.
So... @jvenables maybe read the ingredients list of your soaps. Might be something that's not good (for you) lurking in there.
