Cream Suezbana Lemon & TeaTree
Brush BOTI 26mm Fan Silvertip
Razor Karve Brass SB-D
Blade Gillette London Bridge 4th
Post & Aftershaves
Ice Water + Thayers
Hyaluronic + Reuzel Wood & Spice
Excellent uplifting scent from the soap during lathering.Reasonable slickness.
Shave with this awesome razor/plate paired with the blade was just ok smoothness/comfort (perhaps the blade 4th use is the limit for me) but still efficient after 3 multiple passes for a mostly bbs to dfs result. Excellent post & aftershaves. Rating 9.7/10

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Yardley ~ English Lavender Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.

Brush : Omega 48.

Face Lather.

Soap : Monsavon Au Lait.

Blade: Euromax Platinum half blade. (4)

Razor: Yaqi Katana.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) peppermint Lavender, + eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture. / Blue Stratos ASL./ Boots ~ Freshwood Aftershave Balm.

Greetings,

Another superb shave, throughout the week the katana razor has really impressed me with it's efficient smoothness.

The Euromax Platinum half blade could easily give me another two shaves from it but, i will retire it four shaves from a half blade is enough for me. As always the Monsavon soap provided a luxurious protective slick lather.

A comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report....Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Boots ~ Freshwood Aftershave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.

This shave came with both a hazard warning and a theme. 'You nasty little sod'

Ripping Revulsive Razor - Ikon SE
Brilliant Benignent Blade - Titan Mild
Buffy Bushy Brush - Steven Jagger 30mm Cashmere
Brian's Bolton Best - Signature Soaps Londinium
Scotland's Super Splash - ESC Doune Fon Choill

I will quite happily declare that this razor is singularly the most vicious shaving implement I have ever met. I don't understand it. Feed it the mildest SE blade I can think of outside of the one with no sharp edge and called a 'slither of stainless' and it still remains viscous. Does it have a optimum shaving angle? I don't think so.

Give it a good starting point with the monster brush and the monster soap from Bolton and hit skin.

In for an easy ride with a mild blade? You are kidding. The Ikon needs the most delicate of touches and control. Anything else and expect to look like a piece of butchered meat. 2.6753 passes later and amazingly smooth. Wash, rinse and WTF!? Streaks of blood? Serious stealth weepers of the first order followed by some serious styptic pencil work more reminiscent of a 3 year old's sketching exercise.

Close without a doubt but I think it has over-cooked the term close. To the point where cooked reaches burnt offering.

I don't understand it.

Not to be dismayed though I still have the Japanese ladies to fall back on. The appropriate 'Scars in my life' from Fate Gear

Stay well everyone. I still love you all

Ach Brito Mogno
Schick I1
Schick S/S Twin-Japan ( 2 )
Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion
One of the problems with using up my stock of Twin Blades is the fact that replacing them would cost too much. However, because I use both Vintage/ AC SEs as well as Injectors, my use of the Twins is not too often, so I am OK for some time.
Most of my Shaves with a Twin Blade are with longer handled Razors, but I can confirm that it works very well in The I1 and would suit those who prefer a short handle.Excellent results today the Mogno Bar is proving to be a Winner.

I have never really loved the original handle on the V2 so today i tried it with the Sabre handle. I thought it worked quite well, it looks better to me anyway.
3 passes for a very comfortable BBS finish. just lovely.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

Thursday

Proraso Blue Cream
PAA Atomic Rocket 26mm synth
Steve Woodhead Ceramic Bowl
Bowl lather
Gillette New Red and Black
Derby Extra
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Fine Italian Citrus after shave

I hadn't bowl lathered/face painted for some time; and very nice it was too. I know Derby blades have a mixed reputation (I often wonder if it's because they're one of the blades that are tried when starting out in DE shaving, when perhaps our technique is still developing), but I had a lovely shave with this combo today. 3 passes for a smooooth finish.
