Speick stick
Wild West Brushworks Cashmere
Gillette Slim Adjustable (3)
Wizamet S.I. (3)
Humphrey's witch hazel
Speick Active a/s lotion.

The Speick stick is simply superb. Superior slickness and cushion. Modern synthetics work so well at producing excellent lather effortlessly. Particularly with shaving sticks. Finished off perfectly with the equally excellent Speick Active aftershave lotion.
Great shave, enjoys yours chaps.

Now that was a nice shave, i have been neglecting my 1912 style razors lately so i decided they must get back into rotation.
Today i bowl lathered and had plenty of slick, lightly scented lather for the shave, i keep expecting a pop of an air bubble on this Vintage tube, although it has not happened so far.
3 very efficient but comfortable passes leaving me BBS, soft and comfortable, this blade seems very smooth from the off.
A nice post shave finishing off todays ritual.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

First shave with my new MÜHLE Edition 3 brush that arrived in a beautiful - and gigantic- presentation box.
The brush is geogeous, made from bog oak and Sterling silver.
The wood is refined with sterling silver, so that the fine indentations on its surface
acquire a silvery gleam, that I'm not able to catch on the photo.

A change of pace this morning with the MÜHLE R41 head on an Ikon Bulldog handle. A very fine shave was the result, obviously close, and comfortable. An excellent lather from the Wickham soap was produced by the SOC brush, although I am having to re-lather for each pass for now.

Wednesday 2nd December

Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic - Stirling Agar - Focus R28 Slim Al - Oud Khalifa

An excellent shave but I didn't enjoy as much as I would have liked. I occasionally have problems with this brush as it has a tad too much backbone for me and I seem to recall having issues with the lather the last time I used the Agar soap. This time was adequate but nothing special.

Wednesday 2 December 2020 - midday - another post-cycling shave - 20k, it felt very cold, but no strong winds.
Excellent shave with the Braveheart/Feather combo - three days' growth, three passes, almost perfect, couple of weepers, but ok -:)
Prep: Shower - Nuage Shave Oil
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow 26mm
Razor: Braveheart
Blade: Feather
Soap: Erasmic Cream
After: Cold Water splash – Ajanta Alum – Nivea Sensitive ASL

Hmm something just didn't work tonight, tried the Carbon titanium handle and found it a bit light and went with the + plate on 2 days growth. With The Watchman I tried a scoop of the soap and it didn't really make the thickest of lather. So both razor and soap all resulting in a bit of irritation. Will try again loading the brush directly and the ++ plate again, the scent on Watchman is great very nautical along the lines of Talbot Okuma.
