Frustrating when that happens. Especially as you probably ordered from the States or Canada. I also saw Cris (another cut above) using this soap, quite sure he raved about the scent.

Yes I bought it from West Coast Shaving and the shipping etc was NOT cheap.

Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with the soap (it's excellent) or the scent. It's just I'm not a fan that 'barbershop' scent. I find it get's too much after awhile.

A rather nice Shave as I treated myself to one of my Japanese Schicks. They really are a nice blade, but not so much better than a Proline to justify the expense. My last Packet should last some time if used frugally.

kinda scottish shave the day

3000 year old bog oak razor from the Gentlemens Groom Room (Haden Made)
Lion Rampant brush from PantaRei from the Groom Room anaw,
Highland Bothy flavoured shave soap fae the same shoap.
The soap smells like you're shaving with a bottle of Laphroaig Islay Malt with a hint of cleaning
out a coal fire first thing on a frosty morning. Smokin.
The razor is very comfortable smooth efficient open comb. recommended.

I reckon the 1924 is quite possibly the most likely of the Ever Ready family to take absolutely no prisoners in its forays into bristle land. It even pips the mighty Streamline (only just, though), for me.

Blade- Gillette Nacet #4
Splash- RR Mudder Focker

Having read reviews of this soap I wasn't expecting much tbf. Lathered up easily enough, scent is pretty unspectacular.
Four days growth and 2 and a half passes later and I'm amazed at the result. A super smooth finish, no nicks or weepers and a very pleasant offering from the splash. Probably the best shave I've had for quite a few months.

Well done me - taking off an eight day growth - and I shaved my head too - everything, proper old-school. I enjoyed that - and feel - and look - a whole lot better. A terrible mess in the basin though - looked like someone had been doing unspeakable things to small furry creatures - took ages to clean up. Apart from that - all good - enjoy yours - cheers - I.
