Rolls Razor With Bit Of History And Story !!

I went to a Carboot Sale today saw a dirty looking Rolls Razor Boxed Set, got chatting to the Woman selling it to try and get the price dropped slightly, she said it was with her Grandfathers stuff, he had died a few weeks earlier aged 93 !!! and they were selling bits and pieces from his house as it was being put up for sale.

When i got the razor home and looked a bit closer i could hear a tapping sound from underneath thr Razor Box, when i lifted it out there was an envelope with a company name of "Palmers Of London Chemist & Optitian" inside were 5 Old One Penny coins dated 1936 & with King George the Fifth on them !!!.

So if the coins are with the Razor it dates it as 1936....., Tried to look up Palmers Chemist but got nothing.

Gave the whole set a quick clean, but to be honest it looked alot worse than it was and it has cleaned up to a fantastic condition it's a Rolls Imperial Model number 3, it includes all instructions, an extra blade, and a third still sealed blade in the little blade box, as well as an extra Handle, i am going to sort out a price and stick it on E-Bay along with the coins.

Thought about putting it on the B/S/T but i don't think many people collect Rolls in the UK ????.....anyway i have talked too much, here are some Pics :

Lovely rolls you have there.

Be carefull about putting it on ebay.. they vary wildly in price in the last two weeks Ive seen a Rolls Imperial number one gor for £84 not as old as the one i recently had in BST and then another imperial number one went for £7.50. then another went for 99p... very confusing i must say. but brilliant razors!

If you guys were going to put this Rolls on B&B B/S/T, what price would you do it for, with the coins, spare handles, blades etc, including shipping to USA....?

Well to work out shipping i would weigh the item, double it then go to royal mail where they have areally simple price finder that will tell you how mcuh hsipping costs then work that into the price.

My mate works for FED-EX, i called him up and he said i could send to USA for free....bless him :lol: :D
