Rex Ambassador Yes Or No

On just about every forum, the general consensus is that the Slim adjustable is more efficient and smooth compared to the Fatboy. I have never owned either as I view the adjustable aspect to be nothing more than a senseless gimmick.
Toby...just to clarify...my comment about the Fatboy being the razor that every shaver craves was purely tongue in cheek and would only be understood by one other person in this forum...who did pick up on it;)
My personal view is that each and everyone of us will probably be able to identify one razor that they secretly or publicly would like to own. In some cases more than one, and in other cases a different one each week. Personally, I would like a solid gold Rex Ambassador, which I would have melted down and re-moulded into a solid gold handle for my EJDE89 gold razor head!

i disagree entirely
You can’t compare a precision piece of engineering to a pair of tweezers that’s wrong on all levels.
Safety razors were a game changer in history and changed millions of lives especially the armed forces as you’ll know.
in terms of the money side it dosent phase me in the slightest, money’s all relevant and i’m in the fortunate position i don’t have to skrimp & save.
The forum for me is a god send
i love different people’s opinions but i certainly don’t come on here to tell people about it and brag about cost that’s just not me.
sorry mate your wrong on all levels.
Put the same blade in two different razors & you’ll get two different shaves
All of my razors give me the same perfect shave every time.

I've thought about a Gillette Adjustable but I've been put off as I imagine they'd be more work to clean/maintain than 3 piece razors, but like I am I don't really clean my 3 piece razors as much as I should!

Not really. Quick scrub with a toothbrush at every blade change and occasional ultrasonic bath if I'm storing it to use another razor in the rotation. Few drops of mineral oil and they're good as new.
