Rex Ambassador Blade Alignment

I thought I'd treat myself to a premium razor as an early birthday present. After much research, I settled on the Rex Ambassador as its range will have something that works for me. I didn't want to buy something that ended up being too mild or aggressive for my liking.

Anyway, it arrived today and I've just loaded a blade in it. The alignment across the bar looks off. I tried this on setting 0.5 and 4. I also tried a different blade just to make sure. Same issue. This is not what I expected from a razor of this value. It's an O2 model. Does anyone else have this issue with the Rex? Am I being overly critical or have I got a dud?

Have you contacted Executive Shaving yet? I've dealt with them many times and their customer service is excellent.

I've owned two Rex Ambassadors and two others on loan and haven't seen any blade alignment issues. You need to send it back.

Yes. Brian's been great. I've the sent the Rex in the photo back to him and he's let Rex know about the issue. I'm hoping to have the replacement middle of next week.

One of the reasons I chose the Ambassador was its availability in the UK. There's always the odd product that will slip through the QA net and it's a lot easier dealing with a good supplier in the UK rather than having to sort it across the Atlantic.

35 year old son here. Knows how to use a toilet and tie his shoe laces.

It's the 2 and 4 year old girls they have I worry about. They are here to torture cats, the public in general and grandparents.

First girls in my family for 105 years and hence spoilt shitless by grandparents who in return receive a tortured existance, together with the cats and general public.

Only way I would have it

Toddlers are a doddle. Its when they get hormonal that it gets difficult.....

I got a Rex from Executive Shaving around 5 weeks ago (O1 date), and it doesn't have the issue you show in the photos. Definitely one that's slipped through the QC I think. I think you'll have no problems getting this replaced by @Executive Shaving as their customer service is outstanding.
