Watched "The Trust"
A rather quirky crime thriller but I found myself really liking it and Cage did a great job in it.
I'd say a 7/10.

Very true! The LOTR/Hobbit films ruined cinema as far as I'm concerned. Too many films try this and fail miserably.

I loved LOTR. My problem with The Hobbit is that it should have stayed true to the book and been one movie, there's about a third of the source material as LOTR yet they somehow managed to drag it out to nine hours or so, no wonder it was boring.

LOTR was spectacular but let me put it another way. In "An American Werewolf In London", the transformation scene in the flat, is as far as I'm concerned, unbeaten even today with all the computing power and CGI available. It was physically manifested and more real, adding to the storyline therefore. CGI has only managed this truly once, in the recent Transformers movies, you'd swear it was all real!
LOTR, great story but I still feel that stories need not be told via computer imagery, but rather as you say, stay true to the book.
Maybe that's as clear as badger pish but can't think of another way to put it, sorry.

I agree up to a point with CGI, physical effects are better, but there are some things you just can't do physically and well-done CGI can give us spectacular movies. It does need to be well done though, shonky CGI looks terrible and can ruin the immersion in the story. Mad Max Thunder Road was not a good film, but the fact that they built the vehicles and all the stunts were done physically did add a lot to it. I think the only CGI in there was Charlize Theron's arm and some of the flames.

Black Mass starring jonny depp - it was really good. the rise of a boston criminal with the help of his fbi friend. true story amd the depp even does some of that acting in it. I was starting to think he was a busted flush since the pirate franchise but he put out a great performance. recommended.

Watching some random tosh and mixed bag.

Grease: what's not to like about a sing along classic

Jonah Hex: a different comic book adapted character film with a sweaty and buxomed chested Megan Fox

Little shop of Horrors: again a childhood sing along film

Star Wars the force awakens what a complete pile of shite It must be said please keep geriatric action hero's out of these sci fi action films poor old Harrison Ford look as if he had just been shat out of Jubba the Hutt's arsehole marks out of 10 -4 and that's being kind.
