Pre shave oil recomendation ?

I may to have to reassess my opinion of Bluebeards oil. Had the best irritation free shave I've ever had last night.

I found mine to smell and feel nasty to say the least. The only other ive had which was great was from: " the art of shaving". And I found all of the AOS to be very very good for me!

Yes it doesn't smell the greatest. I've not tried AOS. A lot of people say it's gunky but then I wonder how much of the stuff people are throwing on their faces.

The Bluebeard is very affordable and you get a huge amount but something with a more pleasant scent would be nice. I hopefully have some Village Barber coming soon.

I have Maggards Shave Oil, best one I have used and comes in a variety of nice scents.

Can't be that different, most preshave oils are grapeseed oil which when used cold has similar lubrication properties to mineral based oil like the Johnson's.

Yes works fine, almond oil and butter also work.

I had some Truefitt & Hill No 10 delivered the other day. Only used it once so far but I was impressed with its lubricating properties. :blush:
