I have bought some balms but note that the same company makes lotions of the same scents. The lotion is said to be more moisturising. I was going to buy some of the lotions as well but was interested to hear your thoughts before doing so. Which of them do you use post shave and what differences you have found between the two? Thanks.

I have balms thicker and generally better but not the fragranced variety so you can follow up with and EDC or EDT.

You may prefer lotions, if like me, you have oily skin.
Some balms absorb better than others.
L'oreal Birch Sap Balm is quite runny and absorbs well.
Boots Freshwood Balm is good or the price.
Others, such as Pre De Provence are more creamy, but absorbs quite quickly.
I mostly use lotions with alcohol. Good astringent properties which suit my skin.
Proraso and Floid are both very good lotions.
Old Spice and Blue Stratos are cheap to buy and both perform beyond their price point for me.
