Portuguese creams

Yes, Skino is their own brand. I'm not sure who makes that one.
A few years ago it was made by Nally (the portuguese factory who makes Men's Estoril Sports Line), but nowadays it can be Lascaray from Spain.

At Pingo Doce, Palmolive cream is nearly always present, and sometimes they have Nivea cream too.
Sometimes they stock Lavanda, but only in seasonal campaigns.

I'll check out Pingo again in July

The only store that convinced me here in portugal is located in Cascais which is 30 minutes from Lisbon and the most beautiful place in portugal - where I spend holidays)

the store is called the À Antiga Portuguesa (Portuguese old style) website

Saw there this summer the entire product line of the Portuguese brand "Barbearia do Bairro"

Google maps directions

But all my material comes from Spain even the Portuguese products

post some photos of what you are buying in Portugal

Woooooowwww

Confiança and Portus Calle. Did you bought them here or ordered online in some super secret online store?

Never saw those only by name

There is a gift shop in Alvor, usual tourist products, but they had a corner of nice things. They had the Portus Cale range including candles, soaps etc. They had a few items in the sale including Confianca

In Lisbon, it is easy to find the Portus Cale line of products. The same for Antiga Barbearia de Bairro.
There are a lot of shops that sell those brands, generally perfumeries, vintage-themed shops and barbershops and shops appealing to tourists with a selection of higher-end portuguese items.

Algarve is a different matter... almost a different country, also :D and in many aspects! :D

There was a recent campaign at Pingo Doce (around September or so). The theme was vintage portuguese products and the like. That's why Lavanda showed up at Pingo Doce. Some Pingo Doce supermarkets still have it in stock, but only the bigger ones.

Lidl (yes, that one!) held similar campaigns in the past, also with Lavanda shaving cream available for a short period.

@Freewillie: Seriously?!?! Never heard of Portus Cale or "O Melhor" by Confiança? In what planet have you been lately?! :D

Indeed. I actually took a walk around in downtown Lisbon, 2 weeks ago, and Portus Cale can even be found in some Pharmacies.

Algarve is a different world, I have never found anything worthy there. They probably think if you go to the beach, you don't need to shave :p

Well I got all of mine in the Algarve ;)

You sir, are definitely a better explorer than me :)

I actually found a couple of pearls in the occasional street markets. A Gillette Superspeed Black handle, a couple of NOS Schick blades, and a swedish J.A. Hellberg wedge in good condition.

No exploring needed to be honest, been going to same resort for many years. Never really looked for shaving stuff as up until 2 years ago I used disposable razors. But then went into a nice gift shop & found Portus Cale & Confianca. He was running the stock down on Confianca so I'm hoping he will stock Antiga Barbearia
