Personne Platinum Chrome Blind Test

So with the help of my able assistant this morning I did a quick blind test to see if I could tell the Personna Israel made blade from the new German One.

I should add this test is completely subjective and I do not present it as proof positive, just a bit of fun.

So the Method was I shaved half of my face with One Blade then Half with another, in between my able assistant switched the blades after some training :)

Both Blades were new from the wrapper.

I wouldn't know which of the blades was in the razor at any time, The progress was always set to Number 4 (With hindsight we should have used an easier razor !)

Pass 1 WTG

Both Blades felt good for me the blade I used on the second half of my face felt a bit smoother and sharper and I called that as the German Blade. 1/1 I was correct.

Pass 2 XTG

For me on this pass the second blade definitely felt sharper I called that as the German blade and again I was Correct 2/2.

Pass 3 ATG

This time Blade 1 made easier work of the stubble especially under my chin , I thought this was again the German Blade and I called it as so 3/3 Correct.

For me the 2 blades feel close , but I definitely think the German one is a little sharper.

As I say this is based on my subjective feel and of course the sample is very small and subjective, but thought I would share.

Sorry for my ignorance but could you confirm what the Israeli and German packaging looks like? I have these:
Thats the Israeli one , they have closed the production there I believe and moved it to Germany.

This is the German One.

There has been no definitive word (that I know of) whether the Nazareth Personna plant has actually closed since this happened:

So, Russell we need a favor: what exactly (if anything) is inscribed on the packaging you have for the German Personna blades?

On the packs of 10 it is a plain white plastic no printing. Just that new style card again nothing written on it.

I didn't buy 200 so didn't get the sleeve , but this is the picture the supplier has up of the outer sleeve.

It appears someone is selling the German ones in the USA now as one vendor on Amazon is selling 30 blades for $7.79. Cannot link Amazon on this forum, so to see it you have to do the legwork.

Well, one USA vendor on Amazon has a photo of these new German ones so I sprung for a 10 blade pckg., but when it arrived it was the old Israeli Euro version!! He credited me back and that was that. Well, I tried one of these current Israeli ones and it shaved nothing like the ones I had years ago did!! I mean I did my usual hot shower prep and glycolic facial wash and then used Stirling Satsuma shave soap. Razor was an English "flat bottom" Tech and the shave was barely tolerable at best. Surely, this blade was made after they announced they were closing the Nazareth plant (which is still unconfirmed since the Harry's deal fell through). Rough blade. (n)

I received some Personnas Reds (red paper) which were like the ones you described, which were rough and tuggy in comparison to the ones I had before in white paper wrapping which were excellent.
