Personna? Crystal?

The personna blades from Asda actually cost Asda 63p per pack and they sell them at £1.89. I just wish I knew what blade they used as it is probably my favourite blade.

Are they made in Israel? If so then it's most likely to be the Personna Tomy

Then you can get them here for a lot less

Current Asda and Tesco blades are probably the same Personna blades available right now at Portuguese supermarkets. They are made by Personna but while Personna's headquarters are in Chzech Republic, the blades are made in Germany.

(In Portuguese, "Produzido na Alemanha" means "Produced in Germany")

Until 2018 or so, they used to be produced in Israel, and were exactly the same blade sold in UK at Tesco/Asda at the time.

I decided to order some of these Israel blades to try and I really like them.

I've made a spreadsheet for the different blades I'm trying with a score for smoothness, sharpness and how comfortable I feel using that blade plus the number of times I cut my self and they feel almost identical to the Asda Czechs personna blades. I just hope they don't disappear as they're discontinued.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing but the new Asda ones actually say they're made in the EU and distributed by personna in the Czechs Republic.

That could be quite an encouraging sign as it migh indicate the properties of the Israeli Personna Tomy is still the same now it is being made in Germany/Czech Republic.

This site is on Hebrew but provides a good view of the old Perma Sharp factory in Nazareth before it was bought by Personna and moved to where Edgewell just closed it for good.

Interesting reading this thread. I used to use Personna blades, a few years ago, I noticed some inconsistencies. Mostly, the occasional blade (or one side of it) didn't removed any beard. It appeared too dull to shave me. When did the factory close? I think I started to notice these inconsistencies around 2015. I've now stopped buying and using any Israeli made blade. Although it seems, they aren't made there now.

I've since been trying to find a decent blade to replace them.

So I bought this online. They say they are made in the USA and packaging was done in Mexico.
Hope they're good.

Excuse my ignorance, what does NOS stands for? Edit. Nevermind. I just found out it means New Old Stock. So I want to believe they are good. and I hope so.. they were cheap and got a pack of a 100 blades :)
NOS = Nasty Old Sh*t

You'll want to send those horrid old blades to me for disposal.

I joke of course. You'll probably find them to be long lasting and excellent blades.
