Does have a very fluid curve angle to the baseplate that's for sure.

45C arrived safely in the post from @Glen_Lee. I had my first shave with it today. Great little razor. Light as a feather and I was thinking it would take a few strokes on my face to find the angle due to the curve on the top cap. But it was very easy to adjust and find the angle. Looking forward to having another couple of shaves with it. Today's shave was with a day's growth so will,report back to see how it,copes with a few days growth.

Damn. I'd love to watch this now, but if SWMBO sees me watching videos of blokes shaving, she'll have me sent straight to Bedlam.

That razor will make me end my spending hiatus one day.

I'm now also fearing that the 45 has been discontinued. I saw one at a very good price and decided to end my spending hiatus and placed an order. The dealer refunded me a week later, claiming they were unable to order it from Merkur. They have now removed it from their web site

Spending hiatus continues.

This has been quite a passaround eh? I wonder if any other razor has had quite as positive a reception. Jolly good show and all that.

Facts without sources are rumours. They may be true rumours though.

I can honestly say that no other razor has given me a better shave. Many are as good, but not at that price. So I just had to pull the trigger. I think I might have to sell something now to make up for that. The Feather WS-D1S perhaps?

I did my own digging and found evidence
