Closed Passaround : Merkur 45c COMPLETE

My Merkur 45 arrived today and I had my first shave with it right away. Just as good as I remembered! It is on par with the best of them. No other razor has ever given me a closer shave. Not even the Wolfman or the Bunny V3. They give a shave just as close, but not closer. This lightweight is as good as it gets. :D:D
Thanks @Wosthedaddy for your skilful enabling.

A tiny little update four years later:
The Merkur 45 is still available. Rumours about its demise were just that: rumours.
It's not quite as cheap as it was four plus years ago. Still a fantastic bargain in my opinion.
It is still the best DE razor I own.

What a fantastic razor! I bought one on the back of this passaround. After 5/6 years, still love the shave from the 45. Highly recommended.

I've enjoyed a splurge on shaving gear during the lockdown and wanted an ATT aluminium slant to complete the collection.

A 45 came up on the BST and it got me researching them (that particular razor had sold before I finished my "research"). It reads like it fits the bill that drove my desire for the aluminium slant. I've opted to save myself some money and have pulled the trigger on a 45 instead of the slant.

How well do you think this would cope with a week-old beard (fine-medium hair)? I shave irregularly so my ideal razor would be able to cope with anything from light stubble to a full beard without jamming up every couple of strokes.
I wouldn't have a clue.
I don't shave daily anymore, but a week old beard is beyond my experience.
My guess: the 45 will handle it at least as well as any other DE razor.
I'd tackle a week's worth of growth with a Kampfe lather catcher or try to find out in which moving box my straights live right now.
