Closed Pass Around: Hone Type 15 - Completed

FB_IMG_1454910118868.jpg Poor shave today, all due to the lather so in essence I shaved without any on my face. Some slight AS sting but nothing too bad.

The Hone did shave 2 days growth quite well considering, but, maybe not as close as I'd want ot get with less effort?

I don't know if it's the weight on each stroke makes me feel as if it's taking more effort to get the results or not?

Final shave.

I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone and have a half a side shave down with a new slant too.

Eastern Germany vs Holland

Lightweight vs Heavyweight

Both razors loaded with a brand new Sputnik blade, a weeper both side, a little larger on the slant side due to the awkwardness of trying to stop on one side of the chin.

The results felt closer on the slant side but had more sting from the Florida Water than that of the Hone.

Results, both great shaves with the Hone being a smoother shave by a gnats whisker but not as close.

The Hone has been scrubbed and soaked in Barbicide and when dry will packed up and posted at some stage today.

I'll pm the tracking number to @riverrun, @Hone and @Sir_eider

Thanks for the oppurtunity to try this beast and I thing that's the biggest downside for me, I'm a lightweight and it's just too beefy for me to throw it about in the morning when tired and bleary eyed.

Posted off to sunny Spain.
Really?

Postie lady says should be less than a week?
My black Standard razor took 13 days to arrive in Spain. The Seygus took 10 days to reach London, 11 to get to Belfast. Correos (Spanish Mail) don't have a great track record. When I first saw this headline, I was certain the guy had worked for Correos :D:D
Less than a week? Not impossible. Just unlikely. As long as they don't lose it, I don't care.

My Standard razor was flown from Heathrow to Madrid (the final destination) on the 17th January.
Here is the complete tracking history from Correos available two days after delivery (before that they seemed to have no knowledge of the parcel whatsoever):

Just saying... :D:D

Oh yes - Royal Mail tracking today, still shows the parcel as 'It's on its way'

Here is the Google translation of what the Spanish postal system has to say about the shipment:
The Spanish postal gods said:
We not have information about this shipment. It may happen that the code you provide contains an error or that the consignment has not entered into our services.
No surprises there then.
Told you so. :D

Hi!

Yes, it's true! I received it this evening, may be a new record of the Spanish Postal service? hahahaha!

Wow, this thing is HEAVY like Thor hammer, a curious contrast compared with the Standard Razor!

Now I'll clean it a bit and tomorrow will begin the test.

Again, many thanks for the opportunity of trying this big thing, hehe

Cheers!
