Pass Around: Fatboy

So just as an update
I was away for the weekend and when I returned home the fatboy was there with a couple of blades from TommyP (y)

It is in remarkably good condition for a razor that has done the rounds since 2011

I will shave with it over the next few weeks and post my thoughts

Cheers folks
It’s a cracking razor. Start saving now!

Have fun with the fatboy. I tried to get it shining for you. It's funny to me to read my old post about not going above 6. I bought a slim off the back of trying the fatboy and it's the razor I most use along with a Gillette NEW. Lately I've actually been using it on 9 for all 3 passes. I never thought I would, but with considered technique it shaves great on 9 and causes less irritation. I know this sounds backwards and I didn't believe it at first, but it's true. I favor Gillette Platinum or 7 O'clock blades lately but I recently loaded up a Feather. Slim@9 + Feather really make you really aware of not using pressure whereas the Gillette blades are more forgiving of sloppy technique.
