Parker 65R

Hi guys,
I'm interested to hear if anyone has any experience or views of the Parker 65R razor?
I'm looking for something more aggressive and efficient than my Muhle R89 that won't break the bank. Will it give me a shave similar to my beloved Merkur Slantbar?
Or am I just making any old excuse to buy another razor??

My advice would be, if you're considering the Parker range, to go and buy a Variant, or nothing at all. Their quality control is abhorring, the threads on three piece razors heads are not fully plated (and they say it's not a defect, even though the underlying zinc alloy is exposed!), my vendor had his whole batch with such defective razors.

Well I decided to plump for the 65R, for only £16, I convinced myself it could be a bargain! As it turns out .......... I love it! More aggressive than the Muhle R89 and EJ89, even more aggressive than my favourite Merkur slant bar, but boy is it smooth. Gives the most audible feedback I've experienced, works well with all my favourite blades - PermaSharp, Polsilver and Rapira - and well weighted and balanced and I do like the ornate handle. So chuffed I got it. Not sure what Parker's following is like, but the 2 I own, I just can't fault them for performance or value for money.
I'll definitely be looking at Parker in the future when I try to unsuccessfully convince myself I don't need ANOTHER razor.
