Orange scents?

Dont forget the old "4711"

4711 by Muelhens is a refined, fruity fragrance. This unisex scent possesses a blend of citrus oils lemon & orange, light floral rose, and sandalwood oil.

Very light scent and diminishes quickly, there is the cologne, which I use, and I now see a aftershave which may or may not last longer...cheap enough to give it a try tho.

Sounds interesting as available in Boots. I shall give it a try. Thanks

Just to update you all. The 4711 is wonderful and just what I needed. It also appears my wife thinks the same. I would question its longevity and so I am still looking at scents with more after life. Pondering over the Tom Ford Portafino, Hermes Eau D'Orange Vert and Prada Infusion. Should be off for the next week so John Lewis is on the books for a nose.

Thanks for all your inputs and recommendations.

The doors remain open to further 'you should try.......'

There is a Hermes Concentree d'Orange Vert which should have more oomph but I haven't laid a nose on it.

And it is the Concentre I ended up going with and the 4711 as a freshener. It was that 'oomph' you mentioned which sold it to me. Definitely a step up from the usual d'orange vert in terms of impact.

Very happy here and many thanks to all if you for your input and well advised guidance

And then I discovered Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine to add to the collection. Soft scented with a lovely fresh orange aroma bursting through. Similar but different to the Hermes.

I think I now have enough orange scents to see me through the next few summers

Frederic Malle makes Noir Epices (= dark spices) which is basically orange and cloves/cinnamon for that Christmassy themed orange kick
