Yes I got the same. Glad. Got in early I think the full price was about $120.

Thanks, I'll have a look into it.
When I bought mine back in mid-April, the goods and carriage cost from the USA came to GBP £59.87, and the UK VAT and Royal Mail imposts were a further GBP £17.40, making a total of £77.27. That, to me, was a very good price for a superb razor, and, as subsequent use of it has shown me, worth every penny.

+1 on that. I think I paid about that in total. A 316 Stainless steel razor that shaves brilliantly for under £80. Very happy with my purchase.

As I suspected, the more I use this, the more accustomed to its slight idiosyncrasies I become.

Normally, with a new razor I tend to concentrate more on the "business end" than on the handle and grip, but with the Occam's, it's the other way round. Although it could be a tad longer, the handle is easier to get along with than I first thought, but I still don't think the "open" handle on the OREN would suit me, and I'm glad I bought the older version.

It's one of the most efficient and smoothest-shaving razors I have, and a bonus with the head/blade arrangement is that it's easy to clean with running water, shake off, and air-dry "as is". I'm now 6 days in on the original Feather Pro blade, with no degradation in shaving performance.

In my book, it's a real winner.

I went for the Occam v2 (enhanced nano) and have used it off an on since it arrived at the end of May.

First impressions - I really enjoy this razor, in terms of performance, one of the best SE razors I have, on a par with the Colonial General. It gives me a very smooth, and efficient fuss free shave. However, I find the blade loading fussy - it took me several attempts to get the hang, even after watching the video from the Classic Shaving website.

At the moment, I have no plans to change the head from the 2 dot - however, I have ordered some Feather Proguard blades and want to try those out with the Occam.

I hope this razor takes off; given it has been on extended sale, I hope that this will not drop out of circulation when the stock has become run down.

Just had my first Shave with the revised Razor, had no problems with the open handle. I have a need a Shave Daily Beard and though on plate 2 I
had a smooth comfortable Shave with a great finish. Up there instantly with other AC/SE Razors.

I don't suppose the open handle makes a lot of difference to how the razor handles, and, in my case, the solid handle is just a matter of aesthetic preference. The open model instantly reminds me of a potato peeler, and, by association, "spud-bashing"of years ago; not good.

The more I use it, the more I like it. To my mind, the blade loading "issue" seems to have been a bit exaggerated. I find it easy enough to load and remove a blade without the tool and I think it's probably more likely that someone could cut themselves in the process of ejecting the blade from the dispenser and handling it thence. That's a potential problem with almost all AC razors, where a loose blade has to be positioned in the razor and then secured.

I see that the CS prices for these have risen somewhat since @Tony'schin and I bought ours, and I think the all-up cost to a UK buyer is now about £20-£25 more, or just over the £100 total. I'm glad I bought one when I did, and it has the feel of something that may in time be a design classic, like Wilkinson Stickies and the Bunny Razor of myth and legend.

Today I used the Occams V2 with a No3 plate fitted, and for the first time used a Feather Pro-Guard blade, as recommended by the Supplier.
Previously I had tried with a Schick Proline which was a bit harsh, and more latterly with the Kai CTM- Pink which was much better.
Fitting of the Blade to the Razor is very easy, and not as fiddly as one might think.

This was my first use of a Pro-Guard in any Razor, and the first few strokes indicated a nice level of blade feel. In next to no time my cheek was cleared, and it was apparent that this Razor /Blade combo was very efficient. The Shave was completed very quickly, and I had no problems getting
the kind of finish that I rarely get with any type of Razor that I use. I think I may have found the ideal Razor for getting a special occasion Shave, with little likelihood of mishap, and I have a relatively tough beard and need to shave daily.
