Occam's ENOCH

Would you say the OREN is a more suitable SE for a beginner?
Am I right to think it's not as aggressive as the Enoch?
The Oren only for sale in Black, the original is on sale and IMHO is not that different to the Oren. I find that both Shave very smoothly
and well. The Enoch is more a conventional shape and may well suit you as a newcomer to SE Shaving.

I really couldn't love the Enoch at first, with its fiddly loading and aggressive stance but once I found a blade which suited my original thoughts quickly changed. Feed it a mild blade and everything clicks in to focus. I feel I can live with its quirky loading and you just have to make sure everything is tight and 'home' with the blade.

Get that far though and one super little razor which is capable of very fine shaves indeed. Incredibly manoeuvrable and very accurate. Just treat with respect and don't rush.
Hi Chris,
What "Mild" blade are you using in The Enoch ? I am liking it with a Kai and now I think I favour it over the Heavier Hiram Commander.

So in your opinion would you say the Occams razors all have same degree of aggressiveness?
I only ask as I tend to prefer mid to mild razors. But, a smooth shave is paramount for me.

None of them are overly aggressive. The Original & Oren have plates that alter aggression as well as the ability to use different blades. The Enoch is a fixed plate. Plates on the Hiram is a No 2 extra for more plates and vey heavy Razor - Out of stock.
A Good Start for you maybe an S/S Hawk V3- A plate a nice Razor and a Very good Price. Plenty of reading in Forums if you look at Posts on SE Razors.

I can feel a whole new rabbit hole on the horizon.

Welcome

The only thing I can say is it is a rabbit hole I am glad to have fallen down.

Good advise there. I think most folk start off with a Hawk in some form and many don't move any further from there as they are great razors
