Well number 15, had two days worth of beard, had a nice long
shower ,very hot. Face scrub then lathered up with some hair
Conditioner, then completed shower. Washed of conditioner
Mixed up my p160 soap wow what lather what an amazing foam,
And what a smell of marzipan, very nice, almost wanted to eat my
Bk4. Lathered up and attacked the for mentioned beard, clean short
Strokes, neck and cheaks first then the difficult chin and under nose,
No need to worry about the mole on top lip anymore 1st or 2nd shave
Fixed that.
Three pass affair and very close no nics cuts or weepers, finished off
With some gillette asb and beckham aftershave
More than happy with the way this is going, but working away from
Home over the next few weeks so the straight gets back burned and the
Old fatboy has to get usedm

Still want to desperatly want to have a go at a wedge, love my wapi
Though

Hi Colin, congrats on your straight razor shaves progressions.
I'm using straight razors for about 4 or 5 years now and I still learn something new once in a while.
I too have a P160 soft soap and I also want to eat it! But I thought that the scent was sweet almond :?:

I don't think the Portugese have anything as disgusting as marzipan...lucky you.

I feel your pain here, well not so much pain as eagerness to experiment. I had to goto my back up DE when I went abroad a few weeks back.

Good to hear you are getting there Colin. I have to confess I had such a late night (work) on Friday that I was just so groggy and went for a normal DE shave on Saturday (with my La Toja).

It is at that point for me where I am on the verge of a breakthrough but not quite there, I need to persevere more. Reading on B&B that Luc is on shave 5 and going ATG and all sorts of stuff makes be think I am not brave enough but I am not going to use anyone to compare agaist or try to keep up with as everyone is different. I can just about do a one pass with the grain before the soap dries up and I get annoyed with myself. I need to do this at my pace and if that means a day off now and again then that’s fine with me.

Anyway nice to hear it is going well mate, keep it up.

Going ATG is a risky move, specially if you're beginning. I have several years of straight razor shaving and I don't feel the need to do ATG pass. Just 2 passes- WTG, XTG - works for me. In most of the people, ATG will irritate the skin.

Glad to hear that it is going well Colin trust me you are doing fine it’s not a race it takes time to master these razors and for me that is the beauty of them. Every time you shave you have to concentrate and think about every pass to me that is better than just having a quick shave.

Well this week I've taken the wapi away with me an left the fatboy at home, it just
Takes time to explain to the people I'm working away with why it takes me an hour
to shower an shave before dinner. Then I get asked "you shave with what" then
They look at me like I'm mad, however joke on one of them last night, one lad
Came to dinner after a shave covered in razor burn and cuts,I asked what happened
And it would appear his trust mc3 bit back lol.

Audio:- I can't see how someone just pics this up in days this is the start of my 3'd
Week and I'm just getting the hang of this, no pressure was the 2nd hardest thing to
Overcome, the 1st was how much damage it could do if it all went pete tong, I then
Removed the mole of my lip, which I've always hated, then just got on with it.
Don't give up take the odd day off concentrate on ya cheeks and enjoy the shave.
My shaves are getting better and better 2pass last night an a lovely shave,no burn
Or cuts an accasional weeper I could live with, not this time though.
