Noodler's Ahab pen

I have been buying some Indian ebonite pens. If you like traditional ebonite feeds there are some lovely eyedroppers to be had. I can't really get on with the flex nib and have changed it to the standard. My favourite Noodlers pen is the Charlie which is free with the 4.5 fl oz bottles. It is a lovely little eyedropper.

I've also bought some Indian pens, some direct and some FPR, along with a stock of ebonite feeds and nibs. The flex nibs have been about 50/50 OK, but the Serwex MB, which many people rate, hasn't been too good - dry and rather scratchy, but I'm working on it.
I'm buying Noodlers inks from Pure Pens in the UK, and I seem to recall that every time I've been after the Charlie offer, it's sold out. One day, perhaps...!

Indian nibs tend to have quite a bit of feedback from the nibs. As long as the ink runs freely and it does not drag i am ok with it. It just feels like a pencil. My Japanese Platinum #3776 Century has this feedback too. It makes you slow down and makes your writing neater. My writing tends to suffer with super smooth Germsn nibs like Bock, JoWo and Schmidt where you can't feel the paper surface at all. The only exception with Indian nibs is Ambitious. I have an Ambitious fine in a Ranga 3 and it is super smooth.

I have just bought a Ratnamson prn with hand made 14k gold nib and that is what one could call scratchy but I see it as feedback. The line is full and wet. It is only a small pen and the iridium point is tiny and soldered on. I could put it on a micro pad to try and smooth but I don't know what I am doing and would in all likelihood ruin the nib. I like traditional Ebonite pens. The Guider Pen nibs snd Wality pen nibs have a lot of feel too. I believe Kanwrite do a flex nib, maybe try that?

Will post pics of the pens later.
