Newbie needs recommendations

My blade of preference is Feather, some times a KAI (love the non-decorated blade).
When I'm in a hurry or just don't want to focus closely on my moves, then I just load a Personna platinum or a Supermax Super Stainless and I feel safe.
Other mentionable blades are Rapira (Platinum lux my favs, but quite sharp)
My hate is on Derby Extra (the green ones) while the black boxed ones (never remember the correct name) are acceptable.
Anyway, your skin is yours, only you know the feel of each blade, so as already advised, just go for a blade pack, 5 for each blade., so you can try some days and understand what are the differencees between each blade and which one suits your needs the most

Thanks for the advice and for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it

Depending on your budget and how adventurous you are feeling, a few places sell samples with over 50 or so blades containing two of each type.

It is also worth noting that blade preference can vary depending on how your skin is that day. When my skin is good i can throw a feather around it without an issue, though when it is dry or I am having acne issues I need something a little milder.

I generally use a Pol Silver as for me they are an all rounder.

As another newb, I was going to suggest Astra Superior Platinum as well, I really get on with them. What did you decide on in the end?

Astra Superior Platinum are very nice, but only for two uses for me, but they are relatively inexpensive. Just purchased enough blades to test for the next 96 shaves :D
