This week I am dedicating to the B-V3 razor and this morning was the maiden shave w/ it..

I'll break my impressions into three categories;
- Loading,
- Using, and
- Result

Loading the razor
I decided to go with a vintage Schick Twin blade - both because I love this blade but also because I remember Tom mentioning that he had tried the razor with that blade so it should fit.
Now this being my first shave with the B-V3 I had to load into an empty razor. The key slot fitted perfectly but the alignment with the blade seemed to be a bit off. The blade was pushing about 1-2mm into the side of the razor - below to where it should be inserted. After fiddling around for a bit and manually guiding the blade 'upwards' a tiny bit it slid perfectly into the razor and rested securely behind the tabs.

Using
A bit of a different angle is required here (at least if you come from mostly DE razors. It reminded me a bit about SE shaving in a way as you hold the head rather flat against your face.
Having said that it took literally seconds to adjust to it.
So...the most important part maybe - how comfortable is the shave, how efficient is it - and did it mess up my face [any further]?
In short - extremely comfortable (I never felt the blade or felt the razor bark at me). No cuts what so ever (my face was intact).
I'd say medium efficient w/ this Mild base plate. I think the "Mild" label described it perfectly but can't tell for sure how it relates to the other base plates until I've tried them.

Result
I was 75% clean shaven after one WTG pass but had to do some clean-ups around the nose and mouth. I'm really curious to try out the "NotSo" and "Wild" next this week.
Extremely comfortable razor to use - the only downside was that it kept catching my eye in the mirror as it truly is that good looking! :)

So far VERY impressed but will hold off on 'final verdict' until end of the week when I have a few more shaves on all base plates under my belt.

Good Report..I found that the NOS Schick Twin Magazine was a bit out as well..I used a Gillette Trac 11 Magazine as it fitted it best for Twin Blades..This is not unusual though as I get this with a lot of injectors..Some magazines fit some models better than others..:p

It would appear to me that the Manufacturers did this to discourage folks from using rival brand injector blades..Its very hard to pin the difference's down as well..A lot of my NOS Schick Injector Magazines will only Fit Schick's...The Current Chinese Schick Magazine wont even look near a PAL Adjustable..:D
