Got this baby today,  it's FANTASTIC, pureslab is a craftsman.....has a reel good feel and weight to it, used a Derby (too scared to use a Feather on first shave) in it this morning and it was a good shave, only 1 weeper so i get the feeling that you must get the technique right to use it..... :D

this will be my Pride of place Razor me thinks

WILL POST FULL REVIEW LATER

Looks really nice, a solid piece of engineering there. Any idea what weight it is? Or if no scales is it much heavier than an HD for instance (or whatever you have to compare it to).

Don't have Scales, it feels the same weight of my Slim Adjustable.....

Thanks, good enough estimate for me. I like the heavier razors and the slim is one I do get on with. I was just looking at the Ikon site there and I guess you get in line if you want one. Real nice razors and a credit to the maker.

I've had mine quite a while now. It was one of the very first. It doesn't have an icon on it or a serial number. It hass a ball end handle. You have to center the blade just like an old type Gillette. It's slightly agressive so you have to be careful. But after you learn this razor its BBS very easily.

I received my Ikon spindle last week. I have been wet shaving for a few years, 27 or so & in that time used a few razors. I have never used nothing as aggresive as this bad boy. The closest i can relate it too is a Vision that is at its highest setting & that is about as close to useless as you can get IMO. It is going to be like learning to shave all over again. I want to give it some time, but its going to be tough when I can pick up a Merkur HD, a Gillette old open comb or a GEM Micromatic open comb & get excellent shaves out of them.

It is an amazing hobby we have.
