New from Nottingham.

Welcome Tony, to the fantastic world of wet shaving, great tip from Sconehead like he said use less pressure and please, try not to rush it as the more time you take on your shaves, the better you will get at getting that perfect shave with minimal reaction to razor burn. Its all about taking your time and trying not to get to close with one pass, if it takes 3 passes so be it, but don't press too hard on your passes.

Thank you. I think I am getting there.

Glad to hear it Tony, hopefully give it another couple of weeks the razor burn issue should be well under control. Hope you are not hogging the bathroom too much though :) Ah well let em wait !!

Welcome aboard, mate. As a beginner just buy some low-cost but solid performing hard- and software and only focus on your technique (!), as this will be the cause for most unfortunate shaving moments.
I've buggered that up then. I have brought a few vintage razors already. The shaving is getting better with every shave though. Thanks for the welcome.

If I were to start again with DE shaving with my today's knowledge, I would for sure buy a Gillette Slim Adjustable as this one is not only inexpensive, but also a superb razor, very efficient and at the same time very mild. But the main advantage of an adjustable razor is that you can find out very easily what aggressiveness you prefer.

Everything's much better thanks. Just need to stop buying stuff.
