My Daughter (a proud Dad)

Lovely little girl and a striking picture! I grew up in a household that had precious few photos on display and subsequently, for many years, thought displaying photos of family on the wall was tasteless/tacky/strange. Now I have two little boys of my own I am horrified at how I used to think. I am constantly taking pics and videos of them and we already have quite a few photos dotted around the place, as well as a screen saver that seems to be mainly of my eldest, who's had a head start of 3 1/2 years on the baby!

I won't hijack this thread with pics of my two, but I will just add that I am feeling very proud as my eldest started school today. Just part-time as he's only just four. He had a really good time and learned about the letter S (which he already knows  ). So Guy, when you say you are proud I know exactly how you feel!!!

I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave previously. Panic now guy :D

PC - it only seems like 5 minutes since my boy started school - he's in his 3rd year now - insanely his favourite game on his Nintendo is Scrabble  - but hey! he's learning lots of words... regularly scores 300+ in a game against another (non-human) player! He's not 7 yet! Eek!

Thanks for your nice comments... I have a two year old boy as well ;)
PigCat - post away... as a Dad always more than happy to share in others family joy.

Impressive HM! Nice to hear of a lad not in to shooting and racing, and what a great score. I do well to get over 200! I'm glad to say my son loves 'pairs' games - very simple but he gets such pleasure out of them, unless he loses of course! Also he is getting in to Lego, another toy I approve of highly. Expensive, but worth it. I used to spend hours hours and hours playing with the stuff.

Oh he does the racing too - not so much shooting, but he's near impossible to beat at Mario Kart - not only that, but he lets you think you're going to win then zaps you an inch from the line and zooms past laughing at your frustration at being zapped so close to the line - incredibly frustrating (SWMBO refuses to play any more, his uncle - who is an avid gamer - thought he was playing against me when he got taken to the cleaners about 2 dozen times on the trot via the internet)

Keep an eye on your local Freecycle group - there's heaps of Lego passes through both of them that cover here... run it through the washing machine or steep it in a bucket of bleach and you have a mountain of it for free!

Not much traffic on Stowmarket Freecycle. Current highlights include a teak table, a fish tank and some energy saving lightbulbs. Whoop-de-doo! Still waiting for some shaving tackle to come up, but probably rather unlikely!

The bastard thing with Lego is stepping on it, especially in bare feet.

Have you lot seen this?

The last picture in this one is particularly good:

I like this one. Harsh but fair!

Not going to post any of my three (as they are ugly little buggers) but we have plenty on the walls - mainly to deter burglars.

The Colonel has a full wall of photos of our grandparents too, and some of their parents and even one of my Gt Gt Grandmother.
