The way I read how the Leaf razor works is that the blades are actually staggered. The leading blade is more aggressive than the next, and so on. Which throws everything you just wrote out the window.

I have no idea if it will work as well in practice as it does in theory, but it looks workable to me. I decided to back it, but will give it more thought and might back out before they bill me at the end of the fundraising.
Interesting so if you apply a downward stroke with all 3 blades in the most aggressive hits first and then less then least. So I wonder what the last blade will actually do if anything in a 3 blade shave. But if you look at the actual images of the razor they just look layered like a cartridge. There is no lead or further exposure of the first blade. Hmmmmm

not to long ago, in the distant past of the 1950s? a man made a 5 blade DE razor with staggered blades. It did not get far past the patent stage as it was deemed "of no useful benefit to man when compared with any razor currently on the market in 1950"

I would certainly love to borrow one for a few shaves just to see what it's all about but I don't think I would go out and buy one before I had used one, it seems a little like a cartridge razor with a pivoting head, interesting though! P.
