They are more aggressive than the 1912s and featherweights etc
I personally find them to have a little too much bite for me

Yet in my opinion it shaves better and with less irritation than the 1912.
But maybe my opinion should not be given too much weight, since the razor that gives me the least amount of irritation of all the razors I have tried, is the Merkur 37c Slant. And thats even compared to a Gillette Tech.
But used right the Micromatic is a wonderful piece of kit in my opinion.

I liked the shave of the tapered end (closed comb) Micromatic.

MM should give you a great, irritation free shave. If you prep your skin and treat the razor with respect it's easy.
Main thing to remember is you shave with very little angle compared to DE razors. The instructions say flat to the skin, some people increase the angle a little bit.
